AIM USA INSTRUCTOR JOB OVERVIEW
AIM stands for Athlete’s in Motion, AIM has been in Business in the Virginia area for over 10 years. We have both Self-defense, Cheerleading & Dance programs throughout Virginia, as well as programs in North Carolina, and Maryland.
Our programs are tailor made for children ages 4-15. Our classes meet one day a week per location.
We try to have 3-4 classes per night per location with each class lasting 40 minutes. Our classes normally meet between 5:30-6:00 PM and go until 8:00-9:00 PM on weeknights or 9-12 Noon on Saturdays.
Our program follows the local School year calendar whereby we have 3 sessions a year. The fall session is usually September through December. The spring session is usually January through May, and the summer session is usually June through August. When the kids are out of school for vacation breaks and holidays, no AIM classes are scheduled.
Our program is low cost, only $7.00 per lesson. Since our program is low cost and has no hidden fees or contracts, we usually have anywhere for 50 to 125 or more students participating per location.
We pay our instructors on a per student basis. The instructor receives $1.00 per student they teach per week per location. So if the instructor teaches 75 children that night they receive $75.00 for that night’s 2-3 hours worth of work. Paychecks go out every 2 weeks.
Instructors also receive a 10% commission on any equipment items sold. We don’t require equipment at the beginning level, but the majority of students do purchase uniforms. Commissions are paid once a month, of the following month. For example, any sales in January are paid in February.
AIM programs are structured and AIM provides each instructor with the core curriculum. AIM will provide a location for the program, will provide liability insurance for that location, and will advertise the program to recruit students.
